Godfather

Assignment 1 for uni......Characterization. Had the legend Chris Finnigan help a kid out with this one. Was just shot in the shed with 2 lights. Basically used one light for most of the shots tho. Got hold of a smoke machine aswell....managed to make the shed an OHS zone.

French & McCarthy

Took some photos for French & McCarthy (think i spelt that right) a while ago. Haven't had even a second to look at them. Was a good night except for all the rude inconsiderate people talking through the show. Well venting aside, here is a couple of the images, pretty rough editing. Ive been on the computer since 9am its now 9pm. So i did these in about 15 minutes basically sick of technology.

Ice Maiden

Walked up to boneyards today, looked really good. Turned out, not so good. Few little ramps to be had and some greenrooms to ride. Tooo many people tho. And if you enjoy the first 5 seconds of a shower in winter with no hot water. Then you can get it for as long as you want in this water.

Bushfires

Went for a little --- slash, massive walk yesterday through some burnt out bush. Dodged some casual flash floods and downpoors but managed to get back without destroying the camera. Probably head back to this spot with Cale tuesday if the kid is keen. Some pretty interesting shots to be had, but so much ground to cover.

Colour Profiles No sleep & Jolly Juice

Had a little problem with colour profiles on the last pic i posted. Colours were really vibrant in photoshop but as soon as i quit the program it became "washed out".......jerk program. BUT i had a little hangout with Ash (legend) my design teacher at uni today and he sorted it out for me. So i have gone and deleted the old pic and posted it back up with the colours it originally has. Hope it looks better now.

Lack of posts?

Ok so i haven't made a post for about a month.
Doesn't mean i haven't been shooting tho. I have some new landscapes stitches that i want to do but gonna go about them a different way, just waiting on some software to arrive. If i wait it out i dont have to edit them twice. So heres some pics from a session we had a while ago at Ballajura Skate park. Some of the angels are from up a tree, it definitely wasn't easy to shoot from there. Fiddling around with some new stuff in photoshop so the effects are a little outrages, ill work on improving it.

To many Updates

This is the last update i do for the day, its a saturday and i should go do something productive.
In the middle of organizing some skating and motocross photos, so that should be my next update.

Sunsets & the Kokoda trail

I basically went to vietnam and back for the top two photos, they are from the same sunset just at different times, i think they were about 10 minutes apart. I lugged all my photo gear including a 15 kilo tripod from near the point in the shot all the way up the cliff face to get these shots. Not forgetting i had to run there to get them. About 10 minutes after the sun finally went down i started getting mauled by mosquitos then realized i wasn't wearing shoes, hey i was on the beach....who wears shoes?. So had to scale back down the cliff without shoes in the dark. Still deciding if it was worth it.....

City Beach

Fremantle

Had an assignment for uni due last semester, was supposed to be on fremantle and had to suit a theme. Here's a couple of pics that i liked out of the few i submitted. There is no real theme between these few.

The below pic was my favorite. The foreground blur is actually 2 sailors walking, i was lucky enough to get the sailors in the background stationary and the foreground sailors walking past, only had one shot at it and stoked it worked out.

Another Shot

Another stitch from the other night, this ones only a 2 image stitch or really one and a half.
I need to figure out a better way of doing this....

North Point

Got this shot of North Point on the weekend supposedly 6m swell. Waves were bad but i want to re-shoot it on a good day from this angle, could probably frame it a bit better as well.

First Stitch

Found this spot a few weeks ago whilst checking out a new skatepark. I have been really keen to shoot it but just been waiting for the right conditions. Got it pretty good here i think, also this is my first attempt at stitching photos. This is a 3 photo stitch just using photoshop, don't have any stitching software yet and still not sure about the best way of doing it. Im sure there is a quicker way than what i did.

The Reason behind the name

Hey anyone.

A few chiefs got me hooked on the idea of a blog, so I've decided to go ahead with it. why not?
Basically this is just gonna be a place to chuck some of my photos on to see what people think, if they hate them sit on the fence or love them, either way its all good feedback for me. Just a way of getting what i love doing out there.
Ill try to update as often as possible but this kid cant keep any promises on weekly updates.
Oh and the reason behind the name, i wanted lightwriting.blogspot but it was taken, second preferance...spatch.blogspot. nope, taken! so i figured third try's always true. Proves my theory right, for now.

Here's a photo i took on a shoot with Tyson Foster at an abandoned meat factory (i think) a while back.
